The ancient Nautilus shell is a symbol of expansion and transformation through the life cycle. I am fascinated by the concept of the tiny creature that inhabits this spiral shell, who outgrows one compartment of her shell , only to move to the next incrementally larger space; she can no longer fit into the her previous space and must abandon it forever.
